Both my sons are avid marvel comic fans, so on a recent tube journey I just had to take this photo of a young lad’s stylish Spider-Man socks. The neon yellow trainers also showed the red off! So double trouble!

Edge…..
Edge, what does that mean? You can be on edge-nervous of travel, a new challenge You can have an edge, a tenacity that marks you out, or perhaps even an attitude that some can dislike. I have chosen this photo taken along the Thames and it is a living wall made from bike wheels thatContinue reading “Edge…..”
Glass…..
This was the centrepiece at a recent digital awards evening. I just loved the glass beads lit up within the glass vase and snapped the picture with my phone. Very simple but stunningly effective! The lighting was very subtle and kind to the guests around the table.
Landscape
On a recent walk to the Essex Cricket Ground I had to take this picture . What a haven in the middle of the city. The water, the trees and the railway line up on the bridge all components taking the eye on a journey. I love the greenery against the red brick andContinue reading “Landscape”
Moments-capturing motion
This year I was fortunate enough to get tickets to Wimbledon on Men’s final day, and my dream was to see Andy Murray win. From the moment I arrived at Centre Court I was locked in the moment I took these two shots with my iPhone, the first capturing Andy in ‘flight’ after serving andContinue reading “Moments-capturing motion”
Natural World-Leading Lines
Absolutely love this as purple flowers have broken through, ready to burst into a cacophony of bloom within the next few days. Nature is a wonderful thing, as every year we see plants come to life, propagate and fill the garden with colour and form. I have had these bulbs for two years and thisContinue reading “Natural World-Leading Lines”
Scale
This sphere turns if pushed and I absolutely love the seagull sitting atop. The shadows around the perimeter and the the individual to the right show how large it is.
Mystery…..
This painting was done by my youngest son, Joe, recently, and I love it! There is an air of mystery shown by the tattooed model. Is she wondering when she will get home, what she has planned for tomorrow or her evening meal?
Warmth….
With the sun streaming in from the side, and the cherries glinting like rubies this upside down cake provides warmth in more ways than one. Just fresh from the oven and turned out in a plate! Delicious 💕
Architecture….
What better way to showcase architecture than this monochrome beauty. The downside is you can’t see the blue azure sky, although it can be seen that the sky is cloudless. ☀️
A Pop of Colour
A thistle, the flower of Scotland. To many this is a weed and not a thing of beauty, but as a Scot this always brightens my mood when I see the swathe of purple spikes, reminiscent of a punk hairdo!
Treasure…..
I have many things in my life that I treasure; my family, friends. I am grateful for my home, car and job. There have been times where we have faced circumstances that have been difficult, but we have dealt with them and, fortunately, came through the other side. My garden has given me pleasure andContinue reading “Treasure…..”
#Solitude…..
The Some may think of solitude as being alone or lonely, I rather think of it as a place of peace, a haven. Or a wilderness to enjoy and reflect. You can be in a room full of people and still feel alone, or you can be alone but not feel lonely as you areContinue reading “#Solitude…..”
Connect
When I started going out with Kevin, I was asked if I liked cricket, and up until that point I had no interest in it. Needless to say that changed and I recently visited Lord’s for afternoon tea and a tour of the museum. I would highly recommend it as it is superb. The photoContinue reading “Connect”
