Yesterday was apparently the 100th day of lockdown and saw us half way through this year ( and Andrew’s birthday!) Not necessarily wanting to wish my life away but I hope the next half goes as quickly and that we can begin to get a new normality. School is up and running for the limitedContinue reading “Half of 2020 complete”

LD 81
Another full week with work pressure ratcheting up as we prepare for our first students since March, apart from key workers. Teams meetings, summer capital projects and the day to day routines that still have to be done whilst sourcing PPE, tape, bins and so much more. The pressure is immense and hopefully after tomorrowContinue reading “LD 81”
LD Day 60 ……
It’s been a couple of weeks since my last blog and it’s been full of twists and turns. Three weeks ago we were given unexpected but wonderful news that our youngest son, Joe and his girlfriend, Nicole, were expecting their first baby. We’ve waited until the 12 week scan to share the news…….. so BabyContinue reading “LD Day 60 ……”

First quarter of 2019
I can’t believe that we are three months into 2019. I’ve had two trips to Scotland, been to see some football, rugby and been to Lords for dinner. We’ve visited Brighton, Arbroath, Ripon, Harrogate, Stow on the Wold and Charlbury. We also lost our beloved Reggie, far too soon into his short but sweet life.Continue reading “First quarter of 2019”
A strange feeling
Today we drove over to Morden where Kevin’s mum and until a couple of months ago, his Nan lived. His Nan’s house has been a constant in his life, and his Mum has lived across the road for over 20 years. Nan moved to a lovely home and Val and her husband move out onContinue reading “A strange feeling”
Home is where the heart is 💕💕
With Nina and Jay getting their keys yesterday to their first home, it made me think of mine and Kevin’s first home and our subsequent ones too. We bought a 2 bedroom flat in Sutton, Surrey and Kevin moved in on 19th February 1982. I still lived in Essex at the time until we marriedContinue reading “Home is where the heart is 💕💕”
Home sweet home
The last two weeks have been a whirlwind with so much going on and today sees a return to normality -sort of: a new normal? After a delightful outdoor meal last night where we all froze, this morning meant hugs and goodbyes to Andrew and Lis. Always hard but we’ve been so fortunate to seeContinue reading “Home sweet home”
