Here we go again….

It’s been a month since writing last and it’s been eventful. My parents have been down to Brighton and returned to Scotland. We briefly saw them, which was lovely. We enjoyed great food as always.

I’ve been creative and even made my first crochet item. It’s made with love and can keep our grandson warm when he arrives in December.

There’s been a lot of cooking with HelloFresh recipes, a visit to the gin kitchen in Dorking and a dip in a hot tub!

We had a lovely walk last weekend, it was great to be outdoors in the fresh air.

We celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary at one of our favourite restaurants, and talking to the owner of how lockdown and COVID-19 has impacted not only on his livelihood but also that of his staff.

We’ve met Mittens, my cousin’s kitten, and Archie, Joe and Nicole’s kitten and been sent a photo of Vinnie, Andrew and Lis’s dog. Also plenty of snaps of our two Oscar and Ruby.

On Tuesday the builders were back to start Phase 2 of remodelling. This time it’s the snug makeover, four bedrooms and tweaking the bathroom. Oh and decorating hall stairs and landing.

Living in Essex we have moved into Tier 2 restrictions, and that is a challenge for us all. I do hope that this is a sharp, short measure and we see rates of infection and death reduce swiftly. This year has been one of the most difficult for so many of us, for a variety of reasons and we have all felt the ripples from the guidelines and restrictions but as long as we can make it through, be kind to one another so that we can look forward to family gatherings, and seeing friends.
